************************【PCSF_460008】**********************************安装完后，使用designer连接，配置domain时候遇到以下error messages：“unable to get repositories for domain Domain_xxxxxError:[pcsf_460008] cannot connect ot domain [Domain_xxxx] to look up service [coreservices/DomainConfigurationService”后来发现是不能ping通solaris server，在hosts文件中加入对应条目后解决。类似的错误以前就发生过，这次想不到又忘记了。[@more@]

平台： Sun Fire 240 Solaris 10数据库： Oracle 10g（64 bit）Informatica： 8.1.1最近新买了一台sun的服务器，其实之前在sun fire v100都安装过，本来以为很容易得powercenter 8.1.1 安装工作，这次竟然足足耗费两天老是卡在那个create new powercenter repositoy 步骤，总是通不过，总是弹出“connection test failed” message box。记得上次在32位得 v100 sparc平台上非常顺畅，搞不懂这次换了个64位怎么这么麻烦。google，yahoo，都是没有结果，找到一个类似的，却没有答案，没有办法了，打电话去HK要来他们guide。突然发现怎么多了

今天2007-04-26，试着使用了一下ftp connection，开始始终不能成功，发现有个选项：“is stage” 需要check。下面这段informatica文档中的说明，正好是说反了。呵呵If you stage the source file, select the source file name, directory, and file type. If you do not stage the source file, you only need to specify the source file type. If you do not stage the source file, the Integration Service uses the remote file name and directory from the FTP connection object and ignores the source file name and directory

前几天在informatica 8.11版本中遇到一个无法绕过的问题，使用动态lookup的时候其中一个session遇到：ERROR: Could not allocate space in file [/export/home/informatica/pmserver/Cache/PMLKUP6786_13S32.dat].只有当lookup的目标表中有很多数据时，他们才不会报告这样的错误但是同样的lookup 在另一个session就可以正确运行.后来我又把他们导入到informatica 7.12 中，竟然都可以运行。感觉上应该是8.11的bug.几经确认，证实的确是811中引入的一个bug，lkp的buffer中不能正确处理"auto"的设置，informatica的人很快就会提供

今天还发现一个潜在的，同样会触发这个错误的情形（这应该是informatica自身需要修正的）：就是relational connect string定义的窗口里面的name要和SiebelUnicodeDB参数中定义的一致（大小写敏感），但user_name.务必保持小写，否则会报告“ORA-01461: can bind a LONG value only for insert into a LONG column”环境配置如下：solaris 8.0＋version:7.1.2NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.AL32UTF8pmserver.cfg中有如下配置信息：DataMovementMode=UnicodeSiebelUnicodeDB=SCOTT@ORCL OE@ORCLsource/target database's character is :AL32UTF

因为第一次刻盘不完整，安装失败，今天终于再一次拿到PowerCenter 8.11的安装盘，新的版本比7.xx系列体积大了许多，满满的一张DVD盘，有windows,solaris,还有一系列的PDF文档，差不多有3G容量。首先打开install_guide的pdf文档来瞧瞧，按照惯例，首先设置一系列的环境变量，ORACLE_HOME,NLS_LANG,INFA_HOME,ORACLE_BASE，INFA_DOMAINS_FILE，LANG等，运行install.sh启动jre图形用户界面，选择full install，而后的安装就好似solaris下面进行oracle安装一样。不过中途多了什么domain，node之类的，初次打交道，一切默认吧，安装完成后发
