chntpw是一个Kali Linux工具，可用于编辑Windows注册表，重置用户密码，将用户提升为管理员，以及其他几个有用的选项。使当您不知道Windows密码是什么时,可以利用chntpw对其修改。用户数据库文件中的某些信息和更改用户密码，通常位于 Windows 文件系统上的\WINDOWS\system32\config\SAM。

实战
用U盘安装kali，并启动启动。将 Sam 文件复制到kali 桌面，或者用U盘启动工具复制Sam文件到U盘，然后在复制到kali中。
列出所有用户
chntpw –l <sam file>修改用户名密码
chntpw –u <user> <sam file>键入与我们所需任务相对应的数字即可。在这里，我们正在更改密码。因此，键入"2"。
然后，该工具将要求键入新密码。只需键入它，然后按回车键。然后它会询问我们是否要保存密码。按 y保存新密码。现在，我们便更改了 SAM 文件中的密码。
