Purpose

PI行业例如化工、食品等流程制造。其实现在服务的客户就是PI。

它同discrete producton相比，在mastr data, transaction data, customizing上都有诸多区别，例如resource, master/control recipe, process order等。

其中process order的主要例点有：

• Operation：描述了different steps in the production; 而more detail of the operation，是定义在phase中；一个resource赋给operation；该Operation相关的Phases就全部具有该resource; processing sequences of the phases是使用relationship来定义的；

• Material list: 描述了component representing the materials entering and leaving the production process,以及那些temporarily existing material; 他也定义了assignment of the material assigned to phase.
• Phase用来scheduling, determining capacity requirement and costing. The date and capacity requirement for operation就从phase中来。

• Operation and phase可以再assign secondary resource; 然后相同的transaction可以executed for secondary resource as for phases. Secondary resouce可以也用在scheduling, capacity requirement， cost等。
• Control key: must be entered for both phase and secondary resource.定义了一个operation or phase怎样被treat such as process order, costing or capacity planning等
• Standard value key: such as execution time, for phase or secondary resource
• Confirmation: are entered for phase and secondary resource (not for operation)
• Data for process management:
• Process instruction: structure data to transfer from process order to process control (PI sheet or PCS);它assign给Phase。它combine into "control recipe", which are then transferred to the "control recipe destination" definied for phase.
• Xstep: (execution steps) maintain process instructions in the form of reusable modules that can be referenced.
