Connect oracle database error in sqlplus: ORA-12560: TNS: protocol adapter error
First make sure the TNS listener and other database services are started in the services control panel, then choose one of the following methods.
- C:>set ORACLE_SID = S01 before connecting
- Edit registration. Type regedit in command line, to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREORACLEHOME0, change the variance ORACLE_SID to your database sid (From sap forums)
