1. Run parted:<br />
parted /dev/sdj<br />
2. Once at the "parted" prompt, change the disklabel to gpt:<br />
mklabel gpt<br />
3. Create the 3 TB partition:<br />
mkpart primary 0 3001G<br />
4. Save the changes and quit:<br />
quit<br />
5. Afterwards, create the filesystem:<br />
mkfs.ext3 /dev/sdj1 <br />
6.mount<br />
mount /dev/sdj1 /u01<br />
