#1 -- RHP Jordan Lyles - Lexington went from having no more than a couple of future major leaguers on its roster in 2008 to having two of the top 50 prospects in baseball in 2009 in Seaton and Lyles. Lyles' 121 striekouts are fifth most in the minor leagues. Poor run support has led to a 5-8 record in 2009 with a 3.25 ERA in 18 starts. Jordan has made the Astros look brilliant for selecting him against most prognosticators' opinions in the first supplemental round in 2008. Lyles should continue to move up the minor leagues, but the Astros wont rush him as he is just 18 in the South Atlantic league.

Three of Casa Grande's hits came in the three-run first inning, when Myers led off with a line-shot single to left, Mari Gomez followed with a base hit to left-center and Shelby Pacheco connected for a one-out single to right-center to drive in Myers. Gomez scored on a ground ball off the bat of Krystal Singh, who was safe on an error on the play. The Cougars added another run in the inning on an RBI groundout by Morgan Miller.
