Information in this document applies to any platform.
You have incorrectly created a CRS resource service as root user using the following command:
#./srvctl add service -d orcl -s test123 -r orcl1
PRKH-1001 : HASContext Internal Error
Though it gives error, the command places entries into OCR as seen by crs_stat command output:
# ./crs_stat | grep -i test123
NAME=ora.orcl.test123.cs
NAME=ora.orcl.test123.orcl1.srv
Now when you try to remove the service in order to properly re-enter, you get the following error:
#srvctl remove service -d orcl -s test123
PRKO-2017 : Service test123 does not exist for database orcl
This issue is discussed in unpublished Bug 5881091.
In 11g and higher, the command will check the user permissions to ensure the SRVCTL and Oracle binaries are owned by the same user, and not root.
Note that for users other than root and Oracle binary owner, this issue is not seen and we see the following message:
Also in 11g this bug is fixed and you will get the error message when you try to add the service as
root user:
This is fixed in 11.1 and higher
To remove the service, you will need to reinitialize the OCR and add all of the resources back again.
