Note:
When AutoSchedule is set to "Daily" then the NWorkingDays is set to "1"
When AutoSchedule is set to "Weekly" then the NWorkingDays is set to "5"
Client cannot understand why they receive only 1 or 2 items to count. They expect at least 30 or 40 items to count.
Answer: The client does not understand the formula behind the functionality.
The formula is:
MaxItemsToSchedule = (TotalItemsInClass * NWorkingDays)/ClassCntInterval
ClassCntInterval = NumWorkDaysThisYear / NumCountsPerYear
TotalItemsInClass = 100
NWorkingDays = 1
NumWorkDaysThisYear = 260
NumCountsPerYear = 4
Max items to schedule = [(Total items in class * ClasscountInterval) / ( Number of working days in a year / Number of counts / year for that class ) ] + 1
Therefore atlas we algebraically have arrived at [(100 * 1 ) / (260 / 4) ] + 1 which is solved by
100*1 = 100
260/4 = 65
100/65= 1.53
The rounded value of 1.53 = 2
Therefore about Max items to schedule = 2 counts; functionality is working correctly.
An item has zero quantity when there is no more of that item in its counted location(s), often from depletion in which either reorders were not initiated or fulfilled.
How can new items be added to a ABC and or Cycle Count
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
a. Add items manually to the Cycle Count
b. Add the items mannually to the ABC group then update or re-initailize the Cycle Count
c . Create new compile and abc group then update or re-initailize the Cycle Count
Oracle does not automatically add new items/subinventory to ABC or Cycle Count
