When I was in Homs city, some of my local citizen friends told me that it was worhty to go to Palmyra to have a look and lots of American came from US to visit it. They told me the trueth, somebody said hello to me in the hotel says that he came from Carlifornia. But it is too far away from any city that I worked in, so, I could not make a plan to go there.

While, till to the end of Ramadan Festivel 2003, I was in Damascus, and some of friends made a plan go to there in one day from moring to night. The asked me to go there, in the begining I hesitated cuase I have visited several Castels and Wonders in Syria, I think this Palmyra Wonder should be the alike something to these. Since all of my friends decided to go there, and how could I spend a day alone in Damascus, so in the next, I accepted unwillingly.

When I came back, I was totally satisified with this visiting, it gave me a extrondinary, clear and only impression till to today.

I got little information about this wonder, it was been built about 3000 years ago or even before, by some Syrian local nations and some nations around Syria. All biuldings were been built from stones, the biggest square was used for helding some important ceremonies or celebrations, somebody introduced me there still could be seen some piples used for collecting the dirty blood of livestocks, and some thing used to spport fires on the poles to make the square living and lightening at night.

Most of the buildings had been destroied, you could even see the trails been left by the poor persons who lived here ever during the last 3000 years. Now the syria goverment made it as a place for historic visiting and it seemed that they tried to rebuild some of wonders, but most of them were still been kept as what they were before.
