Solution:
After the EFC switch the ENABLED_FLAG was still set to Y for the reporting book in FA_MC_BOOK_CONTROLS table.
Run the following query to update ENABLED_FLAG:
select *
from FA_MC_BOOK_CONTROLS
update FA_MC_BOOK_CONTROLS
set enabled_flag = 'N'
where book_type_code = '&reporting_sob'
and currency_code - '&reporting_sob_currency_code';
