Troubleshooting Details
1. Processes error with ORA-04098: Trigger 'APPS.FA_MC_BOOKS_AIUD' is Invalid
Solution:
If MRC is installed, all MRC related triggers must be enabled and valid.
If MRC is not installed, then it is safe to drop the triggers.
1. Verify the owner of trigger:
select trigger_name, owner
from dba_triggers
where trigger_name like 'FA%';
2. Verify version of famcbks.sql. It should be 115.17 or later.
To obtain the file version in Unix:
Navigate to FA_TOP/patch/115/sql directory and type in
strings -a famcbks | grep -i Header:
3. To create the trigger, run famcbks.sql file
Ex: Login to data server, invoke SQL session and type
SQL> @famcbks.sql
At the prompt to "Enter a value for 1", enter trigger owner
Note: Files used to generate the MRC triggers can be found in
./patch/110/sql/famcbks.sql

2. FAMRCOSPR: FADEPR Errors With Periods Not In Synch
Solution:
Synonyms were generated wrong. Make sure
that no user is on the system.

3. Prepare Mass Additions Screen Errors - ORA-6512, ORA-20000, ORA-4088 when preparing assets uploaded via ADI
Solution:
The fa_mc_mass_rates table needs to be
populated. Because there are no AP invoices associated with these assets, the
exchange rate needs to be obtained from the fa_mc_mass_rates table. This table
needs to be populated separately.
Check to see if the fa_mc_mass_rates table was populated for the mass addition
lines. If not, CONTACT ORACLE SUPPORT FOR ASSISTANCE IN RUNNING AN INSERT
SCRIPT

4. Retirement not Processed in Reporting Book
Solution:
Run the Concurrent Request MRC:Calculate
Gain Loss in all Sets of Books
Do not run the Calculate Gains and Losses program under Depreciation from the
Navigator window.
See the reference guide - Multiple Reporting Currencies One-Step Subledger
Processing

GL set of books is seen in the Enter Journals form.
1. Log on to System Administrator
2. Navigate to Profile>System
3. Check Responsibility and select the Reporting responsibility used to submit
the process
4. Enter 'GL Set of Books Name' in Profile box

6. Depreciation in the Primary Book Failing with APP-OFA-48393 After MRC/EFC Switch
Solution:
After the EFC switch the ENABLED_FLAG was
still set to Y for the reporting book in FA_MC_BOOK_CONTROLS table.
Run the following query to update ENABLED_FLAG:
update FA_MC_BOOK_CONTROLS
set enabled_flag = 'N'
where book_type_code = '&reporting_sob'
and currency_code - '&reporting_sob_currency_code';
7. FADEPR run from FAMRCOSPD in Reporting Book fails
Solution:
This task should be performed by a database
administrator.
If DEPRN_STATUS is 'S' - Submitted or 'R' - Running and the concurrent request
summary screen does not confirm this is true, then the DEPRN_STATUS will need
to be updated via SQL*Plus to 'E' - Error.
1. Verify depreciation status in FA_MC_BOOK_CONTROLS in SQL*Plus:
SQL> SELECT BOOK_TYPE_CODE, DEPRN_STATUS
FROM FA_MC_BOOK_CONTROLS;
2. If depreciation status is 'S', then update FA_MC_BOOK_CONTROLS as follows:
SQL> UPDATE FA_MC_BOOK_CONTROLS
SET DEPRN_STATUS = 'E'
WHERE BOOK_TYPE_CODE LIKE '&BOOK';
3. Run depreciation program again through MRC: Depreciation Run in All Sets of
Books
Note: Under no circumstances should the DEPRN_STATUS be set to 'C' - Completed,
as this can cause major data corruption to occur.

8. Running Depreciation For Reporting Book Errors With APP-48398
Solution:
Apply patchset 11i.FA.I 2117740 and patch
2144836 on top.
Patch 2144836 includes a call to run adsysapp.sql which in turn compiles
admcurrb.pls.

9. MRC Depreciation Failing With APP-OFA-48208 Errors

10. Performance Problem with Assets MRC Transactions Upgrade Utility Phase 2
Solution:
Temporarily use the RULE based optimizer
whilst running FAMRCUPG2.
This can be set as follows:
1. Login to System Administrator Responsibility.
2. Navigate to Profiles, System.
3. Query back the profile option 'Initialization SQL statement - Custom'
4. For the Responsibility which will be used to run the FAMRCUPG2 process, set
the profile option to the following value:
BEGIN FND_CTL.FND_SESS_CTL('RULE','RULE','','','',''); END;
5. Switch to the Assets Responsibility and submit FAMRCUPG2.
6. Once FAMRCUPG2 has completed, set the profile option back to COST based.

fails
12. MRC Setup-Asset Transactions Upgrade - Phase 2 Errors
Solution:
Phase 1 populates FA_MC_CONVERSION_RATES
but it does not populate the exchange rate at all. It will be NULL when Phase 1
completes. Based on the exchange rate relation,
1. If the relationship is a fixed rate scenario the conversion_basis will be R
and the rate based on the initial_conversion_date will be used.
2. If the exchange rate relationship between the primary and reporting currency
is not fixed then provide the Rate and the BASIS after Phase 1 completes and
before Phase 2 is run.

13. Mass Copy Did Not Copy Data to MRC Tables in a Tax Book

15. Assets added via Payables are populating MRC book with inverse exchange rate
Solution:
For Release 11i apply one-off patch 2110567
with famcmaad.sql version 115.5
(the currently highest version 115.11 is in 11i.FA.M 2719046)
For Release 11 apply one-off Patch 2311410 with famcmaad.sql version 110.13
Note: The patch only resolves this for newly added assets.

17. Asset Financial Inquiry is Showing Rounded Amounts in Reporting Responsibility
Solution:
There are missing MRC synonyms. The
following query will display the MRC synonyms:
select substr(OWNER,1,8) Ownr, SYNONYM_NAME,
substr(TABLE_OWNER,1,8) Tbl_ownr, TABLE_NAME
from dba_SYNONYMS where
Owner = 'APPS_MRC'
and SYNONYM_NAME not like TABLE_NAME
and SYNONYM_NAME like '%FA_%' ESCAPE ''
order by 1, 3, 2;
This query should return 10 synonyms
Run Maintain MRC schema from the adadmin utility to re-create the synonyms

18. FAS400 Journal Entry Reserve Ledger Report run from Primary Responsibility shows all amounts in Reporting Currency
Solution:
The 'MRC: Set of Books' profile option should be set to 'N/A' at the Site level. It should not be set to point to a Reporting Set of Books at the Site level. Pointing to a Reporting Set of Books should be achieved by setting this profile at the Responsibility level only. Empty this profile option for the primary responsibility.
