Recovery Performance Tuning
While most tuning analysis can be spent on backup and restore operations, recovery performance should also be evaluated. The following guidelines can help increase recovery performance:
1 Minimize archive log application by using more frequent incremental backups
2 Use block media recovery for isolated block corruptions
3 Keep adequate number of archived logs on disk
4 Tune the database for adequate I/O, DBWR performance, and CPU utilization
