The CSS was killed and could not be started up. Got ORA-29701 error during ASM creation using dbca. I checked metalink and got the following documents(314173,459775,429214), but could not work it out.

Called Oracle Support, they provided the solution.

2) Collect information about adding the OCSSD configuration:

Where: $ORACLE_HOME is the ASM Oracle Home.

3) Please upload these files:

/tmp/localconfig_del.log

Where: $ORACLE_HOME is the ASM Oracle Home.

4) Please execute the next command and show me the output in the next order:

$> crsctl check crs

Connect as root an execute:/*this is very important, can not just sudo*/

# cd /etc/init.d

# ./init.cssd run &
# exit

$> ps -fea | grep css

$> crsctl check crs

$> zoneadm list -i -v
