表达因果关系可使用due to,lead to,cause/be caused by,because of等多种表达法,这些表达法前可使用can/could等情态动词。can/could表示因果关系可能性的大小，could所表示的可能性比can小些。
The problem of the family could be due to the absence of a father.

because of 是复合介词，表示“因为”。例如：
