World of Warcraft Classic has been
classic wow gold success to Activision Blizzard, together with the firm showing now that the retro release has driven subscription numbers to their biggest quarterly increase in history. Classic came out on August 26. World of Warcraft players pay for the same subscription to get access to the normal match and Classic, that runs servers based on the way that WoW was ahead of the launch of any expansions. Lots of players, it seems, wanted that old-school WoW experience. We don't know the exact subscription amounts, as Activision Blizzard hasn't given that statistic out for years.
It had less to share about the near future of Classic, though an update adding some player-vs. -participant features is coming shortly. Blizzard still has a series of update to roll out for Classic predicated on first World of Warcraft content. After that Classic's potential is unclear. But considering how hot it has become, Blizzard must be planning something.
Speaking at a panel in BlizzCon 2019 over the weekend (via Digital Trends), where a release date for WoW Classic's PvP Honor System was also declared, World of Warcraft Executive Producer John Hight cautioned that Blizzard is"compared" to bringing major expansions to the remastered vanilla version of its hit MMO, that established earlier this season.
Hight mentioned both The Burning Crusade to
buy wow classic gold and Wrath of the Lich King in his remarks, and even asked the audience that expansion they'd like to watch released for WoW Classic original (the crowd seemingly cheered louder to the latter). "We've done it before", said Hight, in reference to pulling off what Blizzard assumed was previously unfeasible with WoW Classic, suggesting that - while there's no official plans in motion for bringing either of these expansions into the game at present - the studio is definitely open to the idea in the foreseeable future.
