Backgoud : install oracle 10g on solaris 8 server which have already exitst oracle9i on it.

When run installer , hit below error:

1.first check java version , upgrade java version to 1.5.0_24 (not solved)
2.Check /etc/system oracle parameters , no exception found.
3.May the solaris os version too low , not support 10g (just think) SunOS abalone 5.8 Generic_117350-57 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-880

4.google search no answer found.
5. ask help from buddy , buddy suggest change the oracle user profile from 9i env to new 10g env, also set ORACLE_HOME , error still
6. Think the error on JVM, need restart JVM , don't know how to restart JVM .
7. Change the install client from my computer to buddy computer , the install no error
8. Install client env is difference main on the fixed ip and DHCP
9.change my install client IP to fixed ip , it works , no error .

Conclusion:
1.The install client env is important for oracle10g install

Strange:

Another buddy not use fixed IP install oracle10g ,no error.
