Belgrano Cordoba fifachampion went to the top of the Primera Division standings for a few hours at least after a 1-0 win over 10-man Crucero del Norte in a feisty encounter that saw ten players booked and one sent off.

Mauro Obolo scored the goal that separated the teams on the stroke of half-time while Belgrano's task of holding on was made easier when Nicolas Dematei was given his marching orders in the 78th minute.

The narrow win was enough to move Belgrano to the top of the table by one goal, as they are level on points with previous leaders Rosario Central - although San Lorenzo and River Plate could both move above them if they get anything from their respective  matches on Sunday. Substitute Facundo Bertoglio scored nine minutes from time as Tigre moved up to sixth with a 2-1 victory at 10-man Huracan.
