Tim Howard isn't quitting his day job as the goalkeeper for Everton FC.But the secretary of U.S. Soccer's defense will be moonlighting as a color commentator with NBC Sports for 10 matches in the Barclays Premier League. The 2014 World Cup Adidas F50 announced that Howard has signed a multi-year agreement. His schedule will accommodate his play with Everton.While Howard says understanding soccer obviously comes easy to him, providing commentary makes his knees shake."When you get to the level that I'm at, the Premier Acheter Oakley and the national team, you've almost in a sense mastered the game, certainly the knowledge of the game," Howard said on a call with reporters Tuesday."On the surface, it seems so easy. Then you get in the booth and your knees start to tremble and you're not really sure why. It is very, very difficult. It takes such skill. As a player, you know the game. But to apply that and do it in the right way is very, very hard. I'm certainly nowhere near perfect yet."Just like soccer fans, the 12-year Premier League player is most intrigued by the big games."When it comes to the big clashes C Man City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool C those are the fun games to call. The football takes care of itself. It's so majestic. You got the best players on show, big games and nerves. So I can try and talk to what it's like to be in the tunnel before you come out.
