How to Build an LED Light Building a simple LED light can be a great project for kids or adults just learning electronics. An LED light can be built using a simple circuit with an LED, a resistor and a battery. Once the LED light is soldered together, it can be placed in virtually any plastic case that has room for the battery and an opening for the LED light. The resistor is used to regulate the flow of current through the LED. Too much current can permanently damage the LED. attery source and resistor. Attach the positive side of the second LED to the negative side of the first LED. 5 Wire the negative side of the second LED to the black lead of the battery holder, and add the battery.
