1. log on to the target server & sudo to db2 instance ID
sudo su – db2fin

2. backup the related cfg files
cd /db2home/db2fin/update_script_vector/CH10383566
db2 get dbm cfg >>db2_dbm_cfg.log
./backup_db_cfg.ksh
db2set -all >>db2_info_db2set.log

3. Online backup the Dbs to the local disk
./local_backup_db.ksh

4. Stop all the process related to DB2
Stop the application
Stop the WAS  ---confirmed with was team, will inform them to restart the was when the change completed

5. Stop DB2 service
. $HOME/sqllib/db2profile
db2 force applications all
db2 terminate
db2stop
##db2licd -end      # run at each physical partition
exit

6. Sudo to ROOT to stop the service as follow
/usr/sbin/slibclean
/opt/xxx/db2/V9.7/bin/db2fm -i db2fin -D

7. Disable the db2fm
/opt/xxx/db2/V9.7/instance/db2iset -i db2fin -all
/opt/xxx/db2/V9.7/instance/db2iauto -off db2fin

8. Running under instance owner
sudo su – db2fin
$HOME/sqllib/bin/ipclean

9. Copy the sqllib to make sure the sqllib is save if update failed
cd /db2/db2fin/
cp sqllib sqllib_bkp_vector

10. Install the fixpack under ROOT
sudu su - root
cd /tempdb2/CH10383566/universal
./installFixPack -b /opt/xxx/db2/V9.7

11. Post installation
/opt/xxx/db2/V9.7/instance/db2iupdt db2fin

12. Update the database
sudo su – db2fin
db2updv97 -d dbname (all the databases)

13. Restart the instance
db2start
DB2DIR/instance/db2iauto -on db2fin

14. Rebind the packages for each Dbs
cd /db2home/db2fin/update_script_vector/CH10383566 ./db2_bind_pkg.ksh

15. Find the Rebind cmds from the above output
cat db2_bind_pkg_detail.log

16. Go to the Bnd directory to execute the cmds below this folder
cd /db2home/db2fin/sqllib/bnd
