1. Click on EVA Storage Network in the navigation of Command View.

2. Click on Server Options (circled in red).

3. Click the Capture System Information button under the Other Options heading (circled in red).

4. The following page will present a general collection at the top of the page, such as trace and audit files and then a section for each EVA managed by the Command View server, headed by the WWN of the EVA.
For EVA hardware related problem select the items circled in red.
NOTE: Controller configuration dump is actually the EVA configuration.
If the problem is with Continuous Access (CA) then collect the same information from all the EVAs involved in the CA configuration.

5. For Command View communication issues, performance problems or problems with objects in Command View (Temporary Vdisk names for example) select ALL INFORMATION for the specific EVA (again if CA is involved the same for all EVAs in the CA configuration).

6. Now click on the Capture Selected Information button at the top of the pane. This will collect the information and place it into a zip file. It will take a while, depending on what information was selected. When it is completed it will present the following window to save the file:

HP Services may sometimes require information specific to a problem, but in general the above will meet 95% of all EVA problems.
