Concrete Batching Plant is a device that combines various ingredients to form. concrete. Next, we will briefly introduce concrete batching plant in terms of its components.

A concrete batching plant is mainly consisted of mixing system, material weighing system, material handling system, material storage system, control system and other ancillary facilities.

1.   Mixing system

Mixing system mainly refers to concrete mixer. It can be divided into forced type concrete mixer and self-loading concrete mixer according to its way of mixing concrete. Forced type concrete mixer can mix various kinds of concrete, such as flow concrete, dry concrete, and plasticity concrete and so on. It is very popular at home and abroad. While, self-loading concrete mixer is mainly used to mix flow concrete. Therefore, it is rarely used at present.

2.   Material weighing system

Material weighing system is the key component which greatly affects the quality and production cost of concrete. It is composed of aggregate weighing, water weighing and addictive weighing. In general, a concrete batching plant with productivity ≦20m³  will adopt stacking weighing. However, a concrete batching plant with productivity ≧50m³ mainly adopts segregation weighing system.

3.   Material handling system

Material handling system is made up of three parts:

3.1  aggregate delivery system

There are two ways of delivery. One is skip type and the other is belt type. The merits of hopper lifting is little floor space and simple structure. Belt conveyer system has the advantage of high efficiency and low failure.

3.2  water and additive delivery

The delivery of them is finished by water pump.

4.   Material storage system

Aggregate material is usually left in open air. Powder material is stored in cement silo. Additive is stored in a steel structured volume.

5.   Control system

Control system is the most important part of the whole devices. In general, the control system of small batching plant is simple while control system of large concrete batching plant is more complex.
