Goal

How to create a user and map the user to the Information Domain(Infodom).

Solution

The following are steps to create an Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) user and map the user to the Information Domain.

1) Create a New User.

Login as sysadmn user.
Navigate to Administration --> Security Management -->User Maintenance
Create the user.
Select Profile for the Administrator if this is an administrator user.
Check Enable User.
Check Login on Holiday if applicable.

2) Create a New User Group if applicable.

Navigate to UserGroup Maintenance
Create a New User Group and fill in the required fields. For Precedence field, type in a number that's not already on the list.

3) Map the User to User Group.

Navigate to "User User Group Map" and Map the User to the available User Groups.

4). Map User Group to the Domain

Navigate to "Map User Group Domain Map" and assign to the Domain if this has not been done before.

5) Authorize the New User.

Login as sysauth.
Navigate to Administration --> Security Management -->User Administrator-->User Authorization.
Select the user to be authorized.
