Hi - I have two very similar problems (am packaghing SQL Developer
1.2.1 for rollout across global corporation)
1) Configure for Citrix (W2K3 Terminal Server) I am confident this
works OK:
Edit C:\Program Files\SQL
Developer\sqldeveloper\bin\sqldeveloper.conf
Add this line
AddVMOption -Dide.user.dir=H:\$config\sqldeveloper\
should work to put all user files on their H: drive mapping
2) Configure for XP Desktop - this is where my problem is:
Command line in shortcut
"C:\Program Files\Oracle\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper.exe" -J-
Dide.user.dir="%userprofile%\.sqldeveloper"
OR
"C:\Program Files\Oracle\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper.bat" and have
the command line in the batch file:
"C:\Program Files\Oracle\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper.exe" -J-
Dide.user.dir="%userprofile%\.sqldeveloper"
The problem with the XP build is:
a) it does not work if the user does not use the desktop shortcut
or the batch file, but for some reason just double clicks the
sqldeveloper.exe
b) when using the batch file the DOS command prompt window stays
open while SQL Developer is running.
any help would be greatly appreciated!
