1. Setting Up the Database
Before a database can execute jobs using a remote Scheduler agent, the agent must be registered with the database. To make the registration of remote Scheduler agents secure, an agent registration password must be set on the database. You can limit the number of Scheduler agents that can register, and you can set the password to expire after a specified duration.- To verify that the XML DB option is installed
SQL>Desc RESOURCE_VIEW

- Enable HTTP connections to the database

4. Viewing stdout and stderr for External Jobs
Local external jobs log files
- Directory: ORACLE_HOME/scheduler/log
- "_stdout"/"_stderr" appended to a job log id, obtain the job log ID for a job by querying the ADDITIONAL_INFO column of the "*_SCHEDULER_JOB_RUN_DETAILS"
