1 offensive line intact
The No. 1 offensive line featured Tyler Marz at left tackle, Ryan Groy at left guard, Dallas Lewallen at center and Rob Havenstein at right tackle. Zac Matthias and Kyle Costigan shared the reps at right guard.
Although center Dan Voltz is fully recovered from a hamstring injury and played well in a reserve role in the opener, Woods is sticking with Lewallen at center.
Derek Landisch, who started at one of the inside linebacker spots in the opener, watched practice from the sideline. He was wearing a walking boot on his right foot.
Conor O filled in for Landisch with the No. 1 defense.
Juniorcollege transfer Tanner McEvoy, who played wide receiver in the opener, got work as a safety Tuesday. McEvoy was paired with Dezmen Southward in UW's dime package (six DBs).
UW coach Gary Andersen said last week he might use McEvoy in a variety of roles in an effort to get him onto the field.
Freshman linebacker Garret Dooley, who dislocated his right kneecap on Aug. 7, returned to practice Tuesday. Dooley did not participate but it was interesting that he stood with the No. 1 and No. 2 defenses during scoutteam work.
As expected, fullback Derek Watt (hamstring) did not practice and is not expected to miss at least one game.
Walkon Derek Straus, who filled in after Watt was injured in the opener, worked with the No. 1 offense. Freshman Austin Ramesh, who did not play in the opener, also got work at fullback.
