今天看Tom的《Expert Oracle Database Architecture － 9i and 10g Programming
Techniques and Solutions》碰到下面这样一句话：

The CREATE TABLE syntax may be different, but the net results will be the same.

很明显，net在这里不是网络的意思，而是一个形容词。根据上下文，这句话的意思是：

create table的语法可能不一样，但最终的结果是一致的。

那么net在这里就是最后，最终的意思。

翻金山词霸，发现net还有另外的比较有意思的用法:

net profit 净利润

net weight净重

还可以做动词用：

The deal netted (him) a handsome profit. 这笔交易（他）捞到可观利润.
