SSH and Xauth Warning Before RAC 10g Installation [ID 285070.1]

The information in this article applies to:
- Redhat Advanced Server 3.0
- Oracle 10G CRS installation

When trying to setup ssh as specified in the 10g CRS installation guide,
you still get following warning message:

$ ssh nodename1 date
Warning: No xauth data; using fake authentication data for X11 forwarding
Thu Oct  7 17:14:29 CEST 2004

Before you install and use Oracle Real Application clusters, you must
configure secure shell (SSH) for the oracle user on all cluster nodes.
The Installer uses the ssh and scp commands during installation to run
remote commands on and copy files to the other cluster nodes. You must
configure SSH so that these commands do not prompt for a password or
anything else, and thus certainly not this (or any other) warning message.

The warning message is only visible when environment variable DISPLAY is
set and the default setting of the ForwardX11 is set to 'yes' in the
/etc/ssh/ssh_config on Redhat Advanced Server.

Update the /etc/ssh/ssh_config file and change the field value for
ForwardX11 to 'no'
